ValueClick’s Acquisitions, Asset Sale Contribute to Strong Quarter

ValueClick Inc. generated net income of $13.4 million during first quarter 2004, compared with $1.2 million in first quarter 2003. The company’s revenue nearly doubled, from $19.5 million to $36.7 million.

During the quarter, ValueClick sold its equity interest in ValueClick Japan for $8 million dollars. The quarter’s results also reflected its acquisition of Search123, Commission Junction and Hi-Speed Media during the year. Revenue from these businesses were not included in first quarter 2003’s figures. The quarter ended March 31.

ValueClick raised its second quarter revenue guidance from between $145 million and $148 million to $147 million and $150 million, and its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization from between $36 million to $38 million to between $38 million and $40 million.
