ValueClick Spins Off Two Non-Core Businesses

ValueClick Inc. has sold two of its units, and plans to focus on its core online marketing operations.

ValueClick’s AdVault software suite, which includes production, financial and offline media planning and buying solutions for advertising agencies, was purchased by MediaBank LLC. ValueClick held on to its MEdiaplex online advertising offerings, which are marketed under the MOJO brand.

ValueClick also sold its inkjet e-commerce business to an undisclosed private buyer.

The combined proceeds from these two sales was $18 million. During the first half of 2008, the two businesses represented less than 4% of ValueClick’s revenue, and “an immaterial portion” of its income, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
