Val-Pak Determines Customer Profile

Val-Pak Direct Marketing Systems Inc., Largo, FL, has found in a survey of its customers that the No. 1 use of the company’s coupons was for general services such as household and car repair, housekeeping services, pet care and hair and nail salons.

Survey results show that many customers report they are squeezed for time between career obligations and family responsibilities and are “searching for ways to cut time spent shopping for necessities and executing daily duties such as meal preparation,” according to the company.

In other results, more than half of the survey respondents earn between $30,000 and $90,000 a year. More than a third report household income more than $50,000. And, female coupon consumers outnumber males three to one.

Some 1,400 customers were surveyed from eight markets, which vary in size and geographic location. Respondents were given a chance to win $100. Five winners will be chosen.
