The U.S. Postal Service has named Ralph J. Moden, a 28-year USPS veteran, senior vice president for government relations.
Moden replaces Deborah Willhite, who resigned in October after working as the USPS’s chief lobbyist on Capitol Hill for five years. At the time she was accused by Republicans of being involved in ordering a move to cut 500 USPS jobs in Arkansas to hurt the re-election campaign of then-Senator Tim Hutchinson (R-AR). (DIRECT Newsline, Oct. 31). The USPS denied the reports.
Moden most recently served as USPS vice president for strategic planning.
