USA Interactive Restructures Management

USA Interactive has reorganized its management ranks and said that the CEO of its television home shopping network, HSN, has resigned.

Mark Bozek, has left his position as president and CEO of HSN to start Halo Entertainment , a New York-based television and film production company. He joined HSN in March 1997 as executive vice president of broadcasting and was named president of HSN in December 1998.

As part of the changes, the firm has reorganized its operations into three groups: information and services, electronic retailing and travel services.

John Pleasants has been named president of information and services which includes Ticketmaster, Citysearch, Match.com, Evite and Precision Response Corp. and, upon close of the transaction, Entertainment Publications Inc. He was previously president and CEO of Ticketmaster.

Thomas J. McInerney, formerly Ticketmaster CFO and executive vice president, will be president of electronic retailing. He will have oversight of HSN, HSN.com, Home Shopping Europe, Euvia in Germany, as well as USA’s television shopping interests in Shop Channel in Japan and TVSN in China.

Anne M. Busquet will be president of travel services overseeing a group composed of Expedia Inc., Hotels.com, Interval International, TV Travel Shop, and the forthcoming U.S. cable travel network. A director of USA since March 1999, she was formerly president of consulting firm AMB Advisors, LLC.

The appointments take effect upon the closing of the USA Interactive-Ticketmaster merger next month.
