USA Interactive Acquires Interval for $578 Million

USA Interactive, an online marketing firm, will acquire online time-share vacation marketer Interval International for approximately $578 million in cash and stock.

Through this acquisition, Miami-based Interval will reportedly be able to draw from New York-based USA’s experience in advancing the online migration of traditional businesses.

Interval joins USA’s formidable interactive commerce portfolio which includes controlling interests in Ticketmaster which operates Match.com and Citysearch; Expedia, Inc. and Hotels.com); as well as TV Travel Group.
