U.K. Online Video Rental Firm Acquires Retail Rival

Filmnight, a U.K.-based online video/DVD rental operation, has acquired video rental chain Apollo, according to wire service reports.

The combined group will have annual revenues of more than 20 million pounds ($38.3 million and a value of around 8.5 million ($16.3 million).

Filmnight was set up last year by former Electro executive Andrew Bentley and has previously bought Price Storms, an online retailer of DVDs.
