Twix kicks off summer with an online sweeps through radio spots airing on Westwood One.
Twix marketer Masterfoods USA extends its ad campaign, themed “Chew it Over with Twix,” with the Twix Ultimate Sports Party Package Giveaway, dangling a grand-prize package including a flat-panel TV with audio system, $1,000 to host a party, baseball memorabilia, barbecue grill and supply of Twix candy bars.
Radio spots, read live by on-air announcers, drive listeners to the sweeps at ChewItOverWithTwix.com. The sweeps runs through July 9; a second tie-in with New York-based Westwood One runs later this year. Sinuate Media, Baltimore, handles the sweeps.
The promotion also drives traffic to Twix.com, which got a makeover in March to leverage its tongue-in-cheek “Need a moment?” tagline from TV and radio spots that target young adults. Hackettstown, NJ-based Masterfoods also is selling Twix White, covered in white chocolate, for a limited time.
