TV Guide Ups Ruotolo

TV Guide magazine has appointed Lauren Ruotolo as director of consumer promotion and marketing. The position was effective Dec. 5.

This newly created department will be dedicated to creating innovative and relevant promotions for TV Guide magazine with various network partners and outside organizations. The goal is to create more visibility in unique ways for the TV Guide brand.

In her new role, Ruotolo will develop and execute the planning of existing branded events like the TV Guide Emmy after-party. Additionally, she will look to other industry events for future marketing opportunities like this one. Ruotolo will also continue exploring other traditional marketing and promotional programs.

Ruotolo joined TV Guide in 2005 to start WebGuide, an online listing of celebrity web chats. Soon after, she moved to the online marketing group where she worked on numerous promotions and sweepstakes. Recently, Ruotolo she was a key figure in the marketing efforts to help transform the new full-size TV Guide.
