The Home Depot Taps Hasbro Exec as CMO

The Home Depot has named Frank Bifulco as senior vice president and chief marketing officer, effective April 28.

In his new role, Bifulco will oversee strategic marketing for the home improvement retailer, as well as category marketing and brand development. He replaces Roger Adams who left the post in October after a year in the job. Adams now works as chief marketing officer of retailer Lord and Taylor.

John Ross, who filled in as the head of the company’s marketing department, will return to his role as vice president of advertising.

Recently, Bifulco worked as chief customer officer and president of Hasbro North America Sales. In that role, he was in charge of account management and setting the overall customer strategy and go-to-market approach to drive Hasbro’s toy and game sales in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.\

Prior to that, Bifulco worked for two years as chief marketing officer of The Timberland Co., where he was responsible for setting the company’s overall business strategy and direction to help build the brand and drive customer marketing efforts globally. Before that, he worked as senior vice president of marketing for Coca-Cola North America handling brand management and volume-driving consumer marketing plans in the U.S. and Canada. He began his career at Procter & Gamble.
