Vibes Media Partners has teamed up with U.S. Cellular to launch an interactive text messaging campaign with the Chicago White Sox.
Fans watching White Sox games at U.S. Cellular Field or on the local Fox television affiliate can answer a question that is displayed on the stadium’s Jumbotron. Spectators text message the answer via their wireless phone and are then invited to answer a series of trivia questions, also via text messaging. For each correct answer, the text-messager gets a chance to win prizes that include White Sox tickets, merchandise and a chance to deliver the lineup card to home plate before a game.
Evanston, IL-based Vibes president Jack Philbin said in addition to stadium signage and television announcements, the “U.S. Cellular Question of the Day” is being promoted at U.S. Cellular locations in the Chicago area.
