The Talbots Inc., Hingham, MA, reported net sales for the 13-week period ending April 29, increased 22% to $357.8 million, from the $293 million reported for the first quarter of 1999. The quarter ended May 1.
Catalog sales were up 26% to $62.4 million, as compared to $49.5 million last year.
