Subway Restaurants has signed a multi-year agreement with NASCAR to be title sponsor of an annual NASCAR NEXTEL Series race in Phoenix, AZ.
The first Subway Fresh 500 will be run April 23 at the Phoenix International Raceway. Subway also will continue its title sponsorship of the annual Subway 500 race at the Martinsville Speedway in Virginia.
The Subway Fresh 500 replaces the Subway 400, which was held for three years at North Carolina Speedway. NASCAR said in September it would eliminate the Rockingham, NC, venue from its schedule.
