List broker Strubco Inc., New York, will change its name to Metamorphics Media LLC. on Feb. 1. Mark de Solla Price has become an equal partner to founder Sean Strub, with both owning a 50% share in the company.
Price is president and CEO. Strub’s titles will be chairman and creative director.
Price had recently worked at a technology consulting firm, focusing on publishing and Internet commerce projects. Previously, he had run a fulfillment and database mailing bureau specializing in gay mailing lists.
The new name was chosen to reflect the firm’s transformation to a an emphasis on technological improvements. “We wanted not to just upgrade the technology, but to leapfrog the technology so we could really be a leader in the industry. We are really re-inventing from the ground up and becoming Web-focused,” Price told Direct Newsline. The Web focus will benefit both the company’s list owners and brokerage clients, he added.
In addition, Metamorphics Media will relocate its physical offices to Silicon Alley, and will change its mailing address to: 332 Bleecker St., Suite H89, New York, NY 10014-2980. The new Web address is: http://www.metamorphics.com. The telephone and fax numbers will not change.
