Skymall, Inc, an in-flight and hotel room cataloger, has joined with Ritek Corp., a subsidiary of MRT Technology. Ritek, which develops CD, DVDs and other optical media, will invest up to $15 million in the Phoenix, AZ-based cataloger’s new operation, SkyMall Media Ventures, in return for 30% of its equity.
SkyMall Media Ventures will generate interactive media content for its clients, which include companies in the retail, entertainment and service industries. The subsidiary will also distribute optical media through its distribution channels.
