Charles Schwab has been Company of the Year by the Direct Marketing Association Insurance & Financial Services Council (IFSC). Alexander Galanek, senior vice president, life and health, at AIG Marketing in Delaware, was named executive of the year. The winners were announced at an ISFC seminar in Chicago.

AGA Catalog Marketing & Design, New York, has named Jerry Gorman, CPA, as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Gorman joined AGA in February in a part-owner/senior management capacity to provide fiscal controls and financial leadership, the company said.

Harte-Hanks Interactive, Woodstock, NY, has appointed Frank A. Harvey as senior vice president, responsible for new business development and day-to-day operation of the unit. Previously, he was director of integrated healthcare solutions in North America for Hoffman-La Roche, Ltd.

Call Interactive, Omaha, NE, has made two key executive appointments. Deb Hagge was named senior vice president, finance and accounting. Previously, and she was senior vice president and chief financial officer at First Data Solutions. Karen Tatten was named as director, sales. She previously worked as director of client business development at First Data Resources.
