Russ Gillam has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager of a newly created unit of Buena Vista Internet Group called Disney Direct. As the head of the this division, Gillam will be responsible for merging into one operation the assets of the Disney Store Online, the Disney Catalog, Disney credit card and the Disney Catalog Outlet chain.
Rapp Collins Worldwide, Chicago, IL, a direct marketing and customer relationship management agency, has named Ian Baer as president of its Chicago office. Baer has served the company since 1996, most recently as senior vice president, group account director in the New York office.
Harte-Hanks Direct Marketing, New York, has formed Harte-Hanks Analytics, combining the analytical and research capabilities of Harte-Hanks into one unit. David Blackwell, most recently director of database marketing at Wunderman Cato Johnson in New York City, is re-joining the company to head the unit.
TC Advertising, Baltimore, MD, a producer of advertising insert programs, has chosen Herb Moloney as executive vice president, marketing and sales, effective immediately. Moloney has worked at TC Advertising since 1994 as senior vice president, marketing and sales. He will continue to report to Donald E. Roland, president and CEO.
