XS Inc., parent company of XSAg.com, an agricultural product e-commerce exchange site has entered into definitive agreements with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Private Equity for a $20 million round of financing. Launched in January, XSAg.com is expected to process $100 million in transactions next year.
InfoUSA, Omaha, NE, will switch its NASDAQ trading symbol from “IUSAD” to “IUSA.” The new stock, for which shares of infoUSA’s common and preferred stock were exchanged on a one-for-one basis, will begin trading on Monday.
Toy retailer Noodle Kidoodle Inc., Soyosset, NY, has launched an enhanced version of its Web site, NoodleKidoodle.com. The new site features full e-commerce capabilities and 4,000 selected items from its inventory. Site improvements include the ability to browse via four search methods: category (arts & crafts, games, software); character (Barney, Pokemon); age group; and product brand (Lego, Lamaze). An advanced search function allows visitors to find merchandise that fit selection criteria for price range, age range, and category. A NoodleKidoodle.com flier promoting the site was included in the company’s first holiday circular of the season, and was sent to two million customers.
