World Theatre Inc. and OpenTV have formed a partnership to develop a Digital Music Distribution system allowing consumers to purchase music and customize CDs via interactive television.
Musicmaker.com, a digital music download marketer in New York, and EMI Recorded Music have received an honorary Gold Record from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), reportedly marking the first such honors for CDs available only on the Internet.
