Cataloger and retailer Nordstrom Inc., which began swelling online two years ago, has named Jim Bromley chief financial officer of Nordstrom.com, its Internet business. He will reportedly take over duties previously handled by COO Kurt Whitesel, who will now focus exclusively on operations of the unit.
Drugstore chain Phar-Mor, Inc., based in Youngstown, OH, has contracted with eB2B Commerce, Inc. to help it extend its electronic commerce programs to vendors, including those who are not otherwise e-commerce capable. Terms were not disclosed.
