WPP Group plc, London, has appointed Steven Heyer to its board. Heyer is president and COO for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., a division of Time Warner.
Bear Creek Corp., Medford, OR, which operates catalog companies Harry and David, Jackson & Perkins, and Northwest Express, has created a new Internet division and is hiring additional staff for this newly formed unit. Company sales topped $25 million last year.
