Philips Electronics will conduct a direct mail campaign this month, warning companies not to use unlicensed CDs and DVDs. The electronics manufacturer will send letters to 90,000 firms within the U.S. and Canada, urging them to verify that their supplier of CDs and DVDs is licensed, and warning them that they could face legal action.
Target+ Response Inc. has named Chicago radio sales veteran Fred Silha as media services manager. Silha has spent most of his 14-year career in sales and management positions at Westinghouse, CBS Radio, Cox Communications and Emmis Communications. Most recently, he was regional sales manager for AOL Time Warner in Chicago. Target+ Response Inc. specializes in creating per-inquiry radio advertising and cost-per-action Internet campaigns.
TransUnion has promoted Nancy A. Flores to the position of account manager. She will be responsible for national direct marketing sales for the firm’s marketing services group. Flores, who has been with TransUnion for 26 years, served most recently as a CIS analyst.
