The leader of the 305,000-member National Association of Letter Carriers union called on the head of Fox Entertainment Group to withdraw a skit planned for Saturday night’s edition of the comedy show “MAD TV.” NALC President William H. Young, whose union represents city delivery letter carriers in all 50 states and U.S. jurisdictions, told Fox Entertainment chairman Sandy Grushow that the portrayal of disgruntled postal employees arguing over which one would go on a shooting spree goes far beyond the bounds of comedy. “There is no comedy, there is no laughter in making innocent Americans — especially young people — uneasy about utilizing their Postal Service,” he said in a statement.
