Steven Madden Ltd., a designer, wholesaler and marketer of footwear for women, girls and ‘tweens, has formed Madden Direct.
The wholly owned subsidiary of the Long Island City, NY, company will sell direct to consumers over the Internet and through catalogs.
Madden Direct will manage Web site operations for www.stevemaddencom, and will provide fulfillment services for the company’s Internet partners such as Shop@AOL and Nordstrom.com.
Stuart Schwartz, formerly vice president of business development, has been promoted to president of Madden Direct.
