Robert Sherman, the advertising veteran who came out of retirement to help AOL Time Warner Inc. beef up its advertising sales, is leaving the company at the end of the month, according to wire service reports.
Former AOL Time Warner COO Robert Pittman, who resigned in 2002, persuaded Sherman to take the job.
Sherman first worked at the company’s cable division and then moved to the America Online unit last year as president of its interactive marketing group.
No successor has yet been named.
