Sharper Image Posts Income, Revenue Gains
Sharper Image Corp. reported net earnings of $22.8 million for its fourth quarter, up 11% from earnings of $16.9 million last year.
The cataloger and retailer revenue of $278.4 million for the quarter ended Jan. 31, is up 29% from $216.5 million last year.
The San Francisco firm reported catalog sales of $54.9 million, up 14% from $48 million last year. Internet sales were $43.6 million, up 34% from $32.6 million last year.
For the fiscal year ended Jan. 31, the firm reported earnings of $25.3 million, up 59% over earnings of $15.9 million last year.
Revenue for the year was $647.5 million, up 26% from $513.8 million last year.
Catalog sales for the year were $155.6 million, up 15% from $135.7 million last year. Internet sales were $95.1 million, up 37% from $69.2 million last year.
