Senate Postal Panel to Hold Last USPS Reform Hearing

The Senate Governmental Affairs Committee will hold its final hearing on postal reform on Wed. Apr. 7 to review proposed changes to the Postal Service’s rate-setting process and governance structure.

Postal Rate Commission Chairman George Omas and Postal Service Board of Governors Chairman David Fineman will testify at the hearing.

This hearing is the last the Committee is holding on the findings of the Presidential Commission on the U.S. Postal Service, which was completed last July.

Committee Chairman Sen. Susan Chairman Collins (R-ME) and Senator Tom Carper (D-DE) are planning to introduce legislation to reform the postal service as early this month.
