Sales Up as Earnings Drop for Outlook Group

Outlook Group Corp., a printing, packaging and direct marketing company, reported fiscal 2006 sales of $85.9 million, up from $75.6 million during fiscal 2005. But the Neenah, WI-based firm’s net earnings dropped to $2.2 million in 2006, down from $3.2 million a year earlier. The year ended May 31.

Much of the slip in income was due to the sale of lower margin goods and services during the year. Additionally, the company had $509,000 in expenses related to its proposed acquisition by Vista Group Holdings LLC. The company expects that transaction to close in late July.
