Sales Decline for Blair Corp.

Blair Corp. reported lower sales for the first nine months of the year due to its decision to eliminate its Crossing Pointe catalog in March and lower than anticipated direct mail response.

Nets sales through Sept. 30 were $326 million, compared to $362 million for the first nine months of 2004. Its net income was $8.1 million, compared to $8.5 million reported for the first nine months of last year.

Blair’s e-commerce sales increased slightly to $67 million for the first nine months of this year, compared to $66 million for the same period last year.
