R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. has finalized its acquisition of Astron Group, a business document printing firm. The purchase price was $990 million, and the transaction was done entirely in cash.
After the purchase, The Astron Group will do business as Astron, an RR Donnelley Company. Astron provides print and mail services, data and print management, document production and marketing support services.
Astron employs more than 4,000 people in 70 locations across the globe, and should generate around $550 million in revenue during 2005.
