Reebok International Ltd. has entered a first-time sponsorship of the 2004 American Heart Association’s American Heart Walk.
As part of the sponsorship, the “Wear the Vector. Outperform Tour” will be a traveling caravan of vehicles showcasing Reebok walking shoes. The tour will pass through each of 600 cities participating in the walk next year. The walk begins Feb. 28 in Minneapolis and runs throughout the year.
The partnership will also feature in-store promotions at select Reebok retailers including American Heart Walk displays and giveaways with purchase.
In addition, Reebok will introduce its new DMX Max walking shoes and a limited edition “Heart Healthy” T-shirt. Reebok will donate $5 for every shoe and T-shirt purchased, with a maximum donation of $50,000 made to the American Heart Association.
The American Heart Walk logo will be displayed on all walking shoe packaging and heart healthy tips will be printed on shoebox tissue paper. The American Heart Walk serves to increase public awareness and raise funds to fight heart disease.
