This Thursday, Reality TV stars will be roaming the streets of New York City to promote a VH1 awards show.
The show, VH1 Big in ’04, looks at the year’s key moments involving celebrities, trends, events and entertainment. The show airs Dec. 5 at 9 p.m.
New Yorkers can expect to see the likes of Adam Mesh (The Average Joe), Bob Guiney (The Bachelor), Heidi Bressler (The Apprentice), Kimberly Caldwell (American Idol) and Kevin O’Connor and Drew Feinberg (The Amazing Race).
The stars will be handing out rubber bracelets with catchy phrases from the shows—like “You’re so Fired” and “Economic Girly Man”—in the Times Square area.
In addition to the stars, staff members will be in Times Square, Herald Square, Union Square and other high-traffic locations acting as the “living media.” Some staff will sport backpacks with a TV mounted on it running looped footage of a promotional trailer. Others will wear “walking news units” that also display the footage and still others will ride two-wheel Segway scooters that carry a screen running the trailer.
