Rally’s will be the “official” burger of the National Basketball Association team the New Orleans Hornets.
The multi-year deal gives Rally’s two restaurants inside the New Orleans Arena, which will be open for Hornets games, New Orleans VooDoo Arena Football league games and other events.
Rally’s also gets TV and radio advertisements in New Orleans before and during games, and coach- and Hornets-related programming, in-arena signage and advertisements in the Hornets’ “Game Time” free program guides.
This week, Rally’s in the New Orleans area will begin offering a Hornets Combo, which includes the Big Buford double cheeseburger, large fries and large drink in a Hornets collectible cup.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Rally’s signed a similar deal with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts in August. Rally’s is owned by Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc.
