R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. reported net earnings of $124.4 million for the second quarter, up from net earnings of $95.3 million last year.
The printing giant reported net sales of $2.3 billion for the quarter ended June 30, up 17.7% from net sales of $1.9 billion last year.
The Chicago firm attributed these results primarily to the acquisitions of the Astron Group, Asia Printers Group, OfficeTiger, Spencer Press, Poligrafia, the Charlestown, IN print operations of Adplex-Rhodes and Critical Mail Continuity Services.
