Quaker Promotes Marketing Chief to President

PepsiCo this week tapped Quaker Oats veteran Todd Magazine as president of its Quaker U.S. Foods division.

Magazine had been VP-marketing for the division, overseeing strategic planning, brand equity work, channel strategy and consumer research. Magazine is credited with developing a “breakfast bundling” retail strategy for Quaker and Tropicana to leverage the FDA’s new dietary guidelines. Earlier, Magazine was VP-new products for Gatorade (from 2002 to 2004).

As president, he replaces Mary Dillon, who left Quaker earlier this month to become marketing director at McDonald’s Corp. after just over a year at Quaker’s helm (Sept. 6 Xtra).
