Price Chopper Supermarkets is giving its loyalty-card holders extra perks through a new kiosk program in its stores.
The grocer has installed iSaveToday kiosks in its 115 stores, all in the Northeast. Shoppers with an AdvantEdge loyalty card can swipe their cards at the kiosk to get a printout of as many as eight targeted offers.
Each offer is triggered by the shoppers’ purchase history, which is stored on her loyalty card. The printout is a sheet of perforated coupons, redeemable at checkout.
The kiosks are installed near each store’s entrance, so shoppers receive their offers as they begin their shopping. Each shopper can use the machine twice per week. The kiosks also display Price Chopper’s ad circulars, and run streaming video with food- and health-related content.
The kiosks “add unique incremental value to our loyalty card program while strategically expanding our marketing reach,” said Mona Golub, Price Chopper’s vice president of public relations and consumer services, in a statement.
Entry Point Communications, Hartford, CT, handles the kiosk program for Schenectady, NY-based Price Chopper.
