The U.S. Postal Service will purchase $40 million in mail sanitization equipment from San Diego-based Titan Corp. Titan’s SureBeam will provide eight electron beam systems, the first of which will be placed in the Washington, DC metropolitan area next month. The contract includes an option to purchase 12 additional systems.
The USPS also purchased sanitization services from a Titan plant in Lima, OH. Postal is also looking to sign contracts with regional sterilization services in Frederick, VA and New Jersey-based plants.
