Playboy Enterprises Inc. reported a second-quarter net loss for the quarter of $900,000 for the second quarter, compared with a net loss of $3.1 million for the same quarter last year.
The publisher and direct marketer posted revenue of $76 million for the quarter ended June 30, up 8% over the prior year.
The Chicago company’s online group realized operating profit of $100,000 for the quarter, compared to a $2.9 million loss last year.
Second quarter e-commerce revenues dropped to $3.3 million from $3.7 million last year. Playboy attributed this to the timing of catalog mailings.
Playboy attributed these results to sales growth in all its divisions.
