J.C. Penney Co., the cataloger and retailer based in Plano, TX, has named former Spiegel Inc. executive John Irvin president of its catalog and Internet business.
Irvin, who has also worked at Target Corp.’s Mervyn’s chain, also was named senior vice-president of J.C. Penney and will report to COO Vanessa Castagna.
