Paradysz Named President of Direct Media, Schillinger Resigns

After six months on the job, Jerry Schillinger has resigned his post as CEO of Direct Media Inc. in Greenwich, CT. Chris Paradysz, the founder and CEO of Paradysz Matera, has been named president.

Direct Media and Paradysz Matera, New York, announced plans last week to merge. A holding company will own the two firms, with each firm having a 50 percent stake. The deal has not been closed.

In an e-mail to Direct Media employees Schillinger said that the decision for Paradysz to lead the company was “correct and thoughtful.”

Schillinger will remain at Direct Media for the next three weeks to help with the transition. He then plans to return to Chicago with his family where he lived for 44 years.
