Paper Prices About to Decrease

The price of paper is about to fall.

U.S. monthly paper shipments have fallen about 4% over the past six months, according to the Commerce Department. The decreased demand will lead to lower prices and push profits below forecasts, Bloomberg reported.

The price of both glossy paper and pulp have dropped over the last couple of months, while papermakers such as the giant Bowater, are trying to keep prices stable by cutting production.
