Palace Resorts Launches Meeting Planners’ Movie Contest

Palace Resorts is giving meeting planners a chance to make a movie about their lives for an opportunity to win an all-inclusive trip to the resort and other prizes.

To enter, participants create a movie about a day in the life of a meeting planner. Each film begins with a set plot. The day opens with an experienced meeting planner and her new assistant arriving in Cancun, Mexico. Entrants then develop their own storyline by selecting various pre-recorded clips at TheMeetingPlannerMovie.com and customizing them.

The interactive Web site offers details about Palace Resorts while people make a three-act movie. The goal behind the movie contest is to have planners be the hero that saves the day and keeps the meeting running smoothly despite possible mishaps and unruly attendees. The film is developed over a three-month period.

More than 30 movies have been submitted for the contest, which began July 17. The second part of the contest, Act II, begins Aug. 15.

Three winners will receive a $500 Visa gift card for the first and third portions of the contest, while ACT II winners get a four-day stay at any Palace Resorts. Each person will be entered to win the grand prize: a six-day trip to any Palace Resort or Le Blanc Spa Resort and round-trip airfare.

The winner whose movie is viewed the most will receive two Palace Resorts plush bathrobes and a passport wallet.
