Omnicom Group, Inc. reported that second-quarter profit receive a boost by a weak dollar and revenues from recent acquisitions.
Worldwide revenue for the second quarter rose 12.2% to $2.2 billion from $1.9 billion one year ago. Domestic revenue increased 5.8% to $1.18 billion. International revenue jumped 21% to $967.2 million. The quarter ended June 30.
Income increased 2% to $190.7 million from $187.3 million.
Last month Omnicom acquired Pierce Promotions & Event Management, Portland, ME.
In a separate development, Omnicom Group has formed Omnicom Europe Limited, a London based operation to implement programs proven successful for Omnicom in the United States. The programs include business development, logistics support, property management and procurement.
