OfficeMax Inc. posted net income of $49.9 million for the third quarter, an increase over net income of $31.4 million in he prior year.
The direct marketer and retailer reported sales increased of $2.3 billion for the quarter ended Sept. 29, a 3.2% increase over sales of $2.2 billion last year.
