Nike has named Keith Houlemard as president of the Jordan Brand.
Houlemard, 43, has been working at Nike in various leadership positions for 19 years, including apparel director for Jordan Brand, U.S. sales director and U.S. footwear director.
Most recently he held the post of U.S. director for footwear merchandising. In that role, he developed a growth strategy across Nike’s product categories and oversaw a realignment of the merchandising organization, which yielded significant growth in business for the company.
“Keith brings strong brand experience and a deep understanding of the basketball consumer,” said Nike Brand President Charlie Denson in a statement.
Houlemard succeeds Garry Cook, a 12-year veteran of the company who took over the position in January. Nike did not indicate why Cook had left the company.
