GMR MARKETING:
New Berlin, WI, has hired Rick Barakat as director, sports client services. The position takes effect Sept. 4. Barakat will focus on managing collegiate accounts and growing GMR’s business development in the sports industry. Barakat had been director of marketing for ACC Properties (the marketing arm of the Atlantic Coast Conference) managing corporate sponsorships from Pepsi-Cola Co., Jeep/Chrysler and Chick-fil-A. He will be based out of the Charlotte, NC office.
