AMERICAN EAGLE OUTFITTERS, INC.: has promoted Susan McGalla to president of the American Eagle brand. In her new role, McGalla, will oversee design, merchandising and marketing functions for the brand. McGalla formally served as executive VP-merchandising for the company. In other news, corporation president Roger Markfield, has signed an agreement to serve as an advisor to American Eagle Outfitters through 2012. Roger will focus on developing new retail concepts and strategic growth initiatives and advise the American Eagle brand.
