THE MARKETING BODEGA: Chicago, has been named to develop marketing programs for the Wisconsin-based Mexican Cheese Producers, Inc., founded in 1994. The company’s products include cheese, cream, yogurt, snacks, desserts and meats.

JUPITERRESEARCH: is out with a new forecast on portable music devices, which says that the user base of such electronics will increase from 37 million this year to more than 100 million in 2011. That projection comes despite JupiterResearch’s forecast that U.S. sales of MP3 players will slow dramatically. The research firm also found in its U.S. Portable Music Device Forecast 2006 that the installed base of mobile phones with MP3 capabilities will surpass the number of music device users starting in 2009, but the number of music phones in the U.S. is nascent, JupiterResearch said.

WAL-MART STORES: and The Eagles have formed a long-term strategic marketing agreement that will include sponsorship, exclusive audio and video releases and product visibility. Terms weren’t not disclosed, but the partnership will also create holiday interest at Wal-Mart, the company said. The Eagles decided to ink a deal with Wal-Mart because of the retailer’s drive to make a difference for future generations, Wal-Mart said.
