GAP INC.: named Marka Hansen as president of Gap North America last week. Hansen moves to the flagship retail chain Gap from sister chain Banana Republic. She replaces Cynthia Harriss, who resigned after three years leading the chain. Hansen has been with Gap for 20 years, most recently as president of Banana Republic for the last three years. She reports to Gap Inc.’s interim CEO Bob Fisher. Gap Inc. continues its search for a permanent CEO to replace Paul Pressler, who resigned Jan. 22.
DEL MONTE PET PRODUCTS: has hired Alcone Marketing Group as agency of record for its Milk-Bone and Meaty Bone dog biscuits. Alcone began work on the account in January, and will manage the business out of its Darien, CT headquarters. Parent company Del Monte Foods bought the Milk-Bone brand from Kraft Foods last March for $580 million (PROMO Xtra, March 17, 2006).
