ECKRICH: is using its sponsorship of NASCAR’s Team Rensi Motorsports to give key grocers some visibility at a handful of races. The campaign, Feed Your Need for Speed, puts retailers’ logos alongside Eckrich’s own logo on the No. 35 car driven by Bobby Hamilton Jr. Those retailers will also run in-store merchandising and discounts on Eckrich meats, timed to the race in which they appear. The effort encompasses three races (July 14 in Chicago, July 18 in Indianapolis, Nov. 3 in Fort Worth) and puts Hamilton’s image in ads and on P-O-P through November.
JESSICA SIMPSON: has signed a global licensing deal with Camuto Group and Parlux Fragrances, Inc to launch her first signature fragrance. The line will debut in the U.S. in July 2008. An international roll out is expected to follow.
